French Toast Sticks
Who like a sugared toast stick or french toast stick. Just cut the loaf of bread into sticks and dunk it in the egg mixture. and fried until crispy Finished off with a sprinkle of granulated sugar. If it’s not sweet enough, you can dunk it with maple syrup. This recipe keeps for a long time without refrigerating, just put it in a covered container and eat when you’re hungry.
Ingredients French Toast Stick
1 loaf of bread
Buttermilk 1 1/ 2 cups
4 tbsp melted butter
1 tsp ground cinnamon
butter (for frying)
granulated sugar granulated sugar for topping
maple syrup for dipping
1. Cut the bread into sticks. Place on baking paper for about 8-10 hours or overnight.
2. Beat the eggs together. Add buttermilk, melted butter, cinnamon powder and sugar and stir to combine.
3. Soak the bread sticks in the egg mixture for about 5 minutes.
4. Heat a pan over medium heat and add the butter. Fry the bread sticks for 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown, scoop up, sprinkle with sugar. Served with maple syrup
